What is the golden parachute that allows a farmer to enjoy the golden years that might follow a productive life? For the small farmer that would be the trees planted, now bearing fruit and nuts.

Covelo Organic vegetables & flowers has begun a twenty fifth season of production for CSA members. We will also sell at markets in Covelo, Willits, Ukiah and Fort Bragg and wholesale to retail stores and restaurants in Mendocino County. 

The Garlic got weeded and dressed with compost and is already flavorful for green garlic prior to cloving up in june. The carrots, beets, turnips, parsnips, cilantro, spinach & peas have all been direct sown a month ago and have successfully emerged in rows along their raised beds. Cabbage, cauliflower, onions, kale, collards and potatoes have been planted out. Summer starts are filling the greenhouse.

2013 Community Supported Agriculture

The 2013 CSA season begins in June. The cost is $550 for 22 weeks, and $500 for 25 weeks for Covelo residents. Memberships are available now: print out our membership sheet and mail it in with your fee.

The 2013 season CSA is almost underway


Covelo Organic is located in the north-west corner of Round Valley in Mendocino county.  Tom Palley has been working this ten-acre plot of land since 1988. 

We have been committed ORGANIC from the beginning.  Tom uses inter-species planting, crop rotation, cover cropping and compost to create a haven for his produce. Tour Tom's farm by clicking here.
