As we wind down another year preparing our final boxes for those outside of Round Valley, we are encouraged by the resullts of our efforts. Not every seed we started resulted in food for sale and not every plant begun survived the deer, rabbits, crows, gophers and the cucumber beetles, flea beetles and aphids. Still we did manage to increase our sales to restaurants and stores and at the county farmers markets. We increased our pay for our workers and were able to pay our bills on time. We have planted our garlic for the 2014 season and have sown bell beans over most of five acres to build soil for the coming year. We will return then to build on our successes. We hope to increase our CSA memberships.
2014 Community Supported Agriculture
The 2014 CSA season begins in June. The cost is $550 for 22 weeks, and $500 for 25 weeks for Covelo residents. Memberships are available now: print out our membership sheet and mail it in with your fee.
